The Garden State Council – SHRM (GSC) is a state level affiliate of the Society for Human Resources Management. It acts as a liaison between SHRM and its 11 chapters in New Jersey, ensuring that they have the information and resources necessary to carry out SHRM’s mission of “Serving the Professional” (STP) and “Advancing the Profession” (ATP). In addition, the GSC implements its own STP and ATP initiatives such as the annual NJ SHRM conference held in November of each year, and establishing partnerships with business-oriented organizations in the state such as the NJ Chamber of Commerce and NJBiz publications.

The SHRM-Morris County Chapter is a community of HR professionals offering monthly educational and networking opportunities for our members and the business community. The Sussex-Warren Chapter is a small and growing chapter that serves HR professionals who live and work in Sussex and Warren counties and surrounding areas. We offer our members relevant Chapter programming events certified for HRCI credit, legislative updates, volunteer opportunities, and the opportunity to network with member colleagues.
We advance the profession through our annual "financial pledge" to The SHRM Foundation, assisting in the planning of the Garden State Council's Annual Conference, advocating HRCI certification, and being a resource and partnering with local/community organizations such as the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce.
